Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with sales team in continuous improvement

Qualifications
· Post-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing and Sales or in a related area of study, or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities:
· Reporting to the Manager, Arts & Entertainment, the Senior Publicist develops strategic and proactive communication plans to ensure clear, consistent, and appropriate messaging for etalk, Bravo!, FashionTelevision, Star!, SexTV, and additional CTV programming.
· Plan and execute publicity for Arts and Entertainment’s top programming priorities

· Plan and execute press conferences, photo shoots, red carpet events and press junkets as required

Qualifications:
· Completion of a public relations degree or equivalent with a minimum of five years experience in the communications/media/entertainment industry
· Demonstrated knowledge and enthusiasm for the arts, the entertainment industry, pop culture, Canada’s television production community, and the Canadian star system
· Experience with A-list talent management and television production
· Ambitious, enthusiastic, and hard-working
· Ability to prioritize, multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
· Evidence of good working relationships with the press, including North American blogging and online media

CHUM Radio - IT Engineering Assistant (Winnipeg)

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Radio Technical Director, the IT/Engineering Assistant provides IT support to users in a Windows environment, and operates and maintains traditional broadcast radio equipment.

Specific responsibilities include:

· Providing expertise and technical support in the maintenance, monitoring and change management of the LAN, computers and servers.
· Assisting in the day-to-day operations of broadcast equipment at the studio, at live remotes, and at transmitter sites
· Installing and maintaining Windows operating and proprietary third party software on Windows-based computers
· Resolving user and systems problems quickly and efficiently, and tracking resolution status
· Planning and implementing preventative measures for both broadcast and computer equipment
· Implementing system management and operation policies as directed
· Assisting staff with the utilization of broadcast-specific software
· Providing support in the set-up, operation and maintenance of broadcast equipment, transmitter site equipment, and links for remote broadcasts
· Communicating effectively with users and other team members
· Performing 24/7 on-call duties as scheduled
· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
· Post-secondary certificate in Computer Networking or related program; candidates with equivalent work experience may also be considered
· 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience preferred
· Microsoft MSCE certification an asset
· Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in the field of radio broadcasting, however training may be provided to a suitable candidate without broadcast radio experience
· Candidates must be able to perform on-call duties promptly as scheduled
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from managers, co-workers, clients, customers, and the general public
· Must be well organized and capable of handling multiple assignments, with the proven ability to provide thorough follow-up to ensure problems are seen through to resolution
· Candidate must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 or equivalent driver’s license and reliable transportation

At least one year experience in television news, however everyone is invited to send a performance DVD and resmue.

There is also an opening for a Weekend Meterologist/Feature reporter weekend meteorologist who is energetic, enterprising and original.

Qualifications:

·Knowledge of all major non-linear editing products including Avid & Final Cut Pro and major post audio systems including Protools.

Responsibilities:

· Retail Sales order entry for Calgary for CTV and ACCESS.
· Reconcile pre-emptions and makegoods, for Retail Client ad campaigns, between Rep Pak and Columbine to determine spot delivery for CTV and ACCESS.
· Initiate new advertiser set-up for Calgary CTV and ACCESS.
· Revise orders to indicate spot non-availability and communicate changes effectively and in a timely manner.
· Monitor and understand program changes and how those changes affect client bookings.
· Prepare and maintain sponsorship schedules for Sales, and coordinate with News and Promotions.
· Liaison with Retail Agencies, External Clients, Internal Clients and the general public in a polite, professional, accommodating and service oriented manner.
· Independently anticipate the needs of Management and the Sales Team, in order to facilitate, prioritize and execute their needs.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a Sales Administration Role, with the ability to reconcile and process complex advertising orders and communicate client needs effectively.
· Must have the ability to quickly learn and understand both the “HOW” and the “WHY” as it pertains to airtime pre-emptions, make-goods, program changes and department priorities.
Must have knowledge and experience with Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook. Knowledge and experience with Columbine, RepPak and VCI are definite assets.
Must be able to work comfortably on a team and under the pressure of constant deadlines and last minute revisions, while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Must have initiative and organizational skills. The individual must be eager to learn, flexible, and willing to help co-workers where required.
