Salary: | News Division Group 1 - $677.89- $915.85 per week Commensurate with qualifications and experience. | ||
Hours of Work: | 40 hours per week. Overtime as required. | ||
Responsibilities: | · Create highlight packs from live sports events under the supervision of the Highlight Manager · Research games and develop storylines for highlight packs · Contribute storyline and production ideas · Work with the Producer to find video content for show elements · Provide factual data on incoming feeds to the producer and talent as required · Write accurate and comprehensive shot lists for live events and news feeds · Monitor various information sources: Gateway, Pathfire, newswire services · Package reports that are sent in from the field as required · Create Headlines, Montage, bumpers, stings and other elements and features for Sportscentre and That”s Hockey under the supervision of the Producer. · Provide general assistance in the newsroom · Bottomline, workflow and Bug shifts when required | ||
Qualifications: | · University/College education in broadcasting or journalism, or equivalent work experience. · 1 to 3 years of demonstrated editorial, journalistic and production skills. · Thorough sports knowledge. · Proven strength in packaging sports highlights · Demonstrated writing skills · Demonstrated creativity · Strong TV Production knowledge · Familiarity with all television formats, past and present. · Strong interpersonal and organizational skills · Strong attention to detail · Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. · Ability to work well in a team environment. · Able to work night shifts and weekends | ||
