| Responsibilities: | · Control room director for live broadcasts · Directing multiple cameras & multiple live to air remote feeds · Control room director for pre-taped elements and programs · Final visual proof reading of segment graphics · Supervise and direct studio pre-production · Participate in the development and implementation of new formats and visual presentation as requested · Responsibility for shot-listing corporate and BNN-filmed b-roll and for recommending other visuals needed to enhance storytelling | ||
| Qualifications: | · 3 years directing News or Live to Air productions in a major television market · Degree/Diploma in Television Production or Broadcast Journalism · Proven ability to direct in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment · Proven ability to make fast, competent production decisions under pressure · Proven ability to lead a studio crew in live productions with sudden content changes · Excellent spelling, grammar and proof-reading skills · Excellent knowledge of production requirements and technical aspects of live television broadcasting · Knowledge and interest in business and financial news · Excellent computer skills and knowledge of various broadcast software & technology | ||
