The AMA has long been known for organizing outstanding events to help marketers CONNECT LEARN & GROW. On Thursday June 18th, 2009, the AMA Toronto invites you to Twitter 101- a networking event for Marketers.
Social Media is on the radar for many companies. However, few have the understanding to use these new tools effectively. Furthermore, the CFO is still not convinced these are legitimate and effective media to invest in.
Phil Barrett (@phryl )Vice President, Digital and Mobile at B STREET Communications will kick off the evening with a 30 minute Twitter primer starting at 5:30 sharp. This “Coles Notes” introduction will set the tone for the entire evening and is highly recommended for the total ‘newbie’.
CEO Mike McDerment (@mikemcderment)will be on hand to share the Freshbooks.com story, a tale of ‘how to get 800,000 customers using Social Media and Twitter'.
The evening will wrap up with a stellar Q&A panel including top Canadian Tweeters Scott Stratten (@unmarketing) - President Un-Marketing, Candice Best (@candicebest) - Principal of Best PR Boutique, and moderated by Michael O'Connor Clarke (@michaelocc) - Vice President, Thornley Fallis Communications.
