(Daily Planet) – 1 Year Contract Reference Number: Reference: I-027 Location: Agincourt Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required.

Responsibilities: · Propose and develop story ideas · Responsible for the conceptualization, organization, production and implementation of field shoots and editorial content for Exploration Production Inc.’s program, Daily Planet, on Discovery Channel · Responsible for background research, field reports, interviews, and production elements as they relate to editorial content · Responsible for timing, planning, shooting, booking facilities and overseeing edits · Shape daily program concept and develop longer-term ideas · Provide guidance, leadership and feedback to on-air talent and the production team · Other projects as assigned

Qualifications: · University education, or equivalent work experience in broadcasting or journalism · Minimum 3-5 years experience in television production · Demonstrated editorial and journalistic skills · Excellent writing skills · Creative vision for story pace and storytelling with an emphasis on creating visually dynamic stories during shooting and editing process · Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure of live television production · Interest and general knowledge of science, nature, technology and environment
