Posting Date: September 23, 2009 Closing Date: September 30, 2009 Position: Writer, CTV News Channel Reference Number: Reference: LP-032 Location: CTV – Agincourt Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required.

Responsibilities: · Writing scripts for on-camera, voice-overs, bumpers, teasers, and intros to reports · Supervise editing of reports and voice-over packages · Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: · Excellent knowledge of domestic and international news and current affairs · Experience in broadcast writing · Proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines of several simultaneous duties, while maintaining focus and composure · Proven ability to marry picture and sound · Excellent communication skills – both oral and written · Ability to work in a team, and be self motivated · Good computer skills · Broadcast or Journalism degree · French or other language skills an asset · Newsroom line-up skills an asset · Proficiency in INEWS is an asset
