Position: Production Assistant, Exploration Production Inc. (1 Year Contract)

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required.
Responsibilities:
The Production Assistant works closely with the executive producer, senior producer and director to plan and coordinate all elements of the production. The Production Assistant is the main point of contact on the production – script, production elements and general information. · Prepare rundown/scripts/font lists/VTR elements/edit notes on assigned shows · Liaise with producers and Traffic to ensure all contracted sponsorship is included in the show · Time production to facilitate accurate on-air and off-air times as well as timing for commercial inserts either through coordinating producer, if live, or timing rundowns to Master Control · Maintain data base of each day’s show · Work with the Director and Sr. Producer to create bumpers and teasers · Maintaining the daily show archive and preparing Daily Planet repeat for CTV · Program duties as assigned, including interview and segment timing, booking feeds, tracking guests and assisting director in control room · Experience with writing and creating compelling video montages · General clerical and editorial duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Post secondary education or equivalent · Previous experience in television production · Ability to be accurate under pressure ·Good organizational skills and interpersonal skills · Ability to prioritize
