Position: Photographer/Editor (Full-Time) - Contract

Location: CKX - Brandon S

alary: CEP Local 831M, Group 3

Hours of Work: Average 40 hours per week. Varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Overtime as required.

Responsibilities: The Photographer/Editor is responsible for shooting news and sports with and without the assistance of a reporter. As an editor on a rotating basis, you are responsible for editing all pieces of video/audio for news and sports and ingesting all the necessary pieces for the CKX Noon Show and News at 6. Specific responsibilities include: ·Editing news and sports stories for both noon and 6 casts ·Edit daily news/sports pieces with/without a reporter ·Edit and ingest all necessary pieces of video for both noon and 6 cast ·Recycle tapes and file footage as required ·Fill in as back-up Producer when needed ·Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: · Successful graduate of an accredited broadcast program. Some experience preferred, but not necessary · Some experience with DVCAM and Final Cut Pro editing · Knowledge of Westman market an asset · Ability to meet tight deadlines ·Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s licence (or equivalent out-of-province licence)
