Salary: Group G- Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required. This job may require overnight, weekend and shift work

Responsibilities:

· Building robust, extensible and extremely efficient .php Internet applications for Canada’s #1 youth oriented web platform · Building and extending database elements (SQL) · Maintaining and replacing legacy .Net, C#, ASP code (VBScript) · Helping develop, update and maintain scripts that manage and process XML feed data · Developing tools that integrate seamlessly and efficiently with existing HTML documents, .Net controls, and AJAX and Flash applicants · Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

An obvious passion for music, pop culture and youth culture; Three years enterprise production experience in .php Extensive experience developing user-friendly, forms-based web applications; Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, and cross browser compatibility Experience processing input XML feeds and producing valid XHTML and XML output; Experience with extremely high volume environment an asset; Experience with XSLT an asset; A firm understanding of XHTML, the request-response lifecycle, caching strategies (akamai); Some practical experience with advanced JavaScript; A passion for the social web, preferably with experience with web services, facebook apps and utilizing open source initiatives whenever possible such as Wordpress, Google Maps etc. Well organized with good communication skills, patience and an ability to juggle multiple projects with conflicting priorities;
