Updates re: CABJ Mixer

The Canadian Association of Black Journalists MIX AND MINGLE event taking place on August 13, 2009 at Harlem Restaurant (Renaissance Room) will also be serving as a fundraiser for United Mothers Opposed to Violence Everywhere (U.M.O.V.E).

We have confirmed auction items to be bidded on from the following generous organizations:

• Penguin Books Canada - a literary gift pack including a signed copy of the Giller Award Winning THROUGH BLACK SPRUCE by Joseph Boyden
• La Bruschetta Restaurant - a generous dinner gift certificate in the amount of $100
• Sandra Brewster - Artwork donated by this multi-award winning Toronto based visual artist
